The Badger Volunteer Fire Department consists of approximately 40 members, which are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They gather at the Fire Department every Wednesday night for training and a once a month they have a regular meeting. The volunteer firefighters are trained to perform high angle rescues, ice and water rescues, and to assist at motor vehicle accidents.

The Badger Fire Department works closely with the Central Newfoundland Ground Search and Rescue Team and are a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Firefighters and Fire Chiefs. They also support and work with the Newfoundland Rangers. For a Membership Application – click here.
