Christmas Events Schedule

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 7:00 PM Lighting of the town Christmas tree at the town centre.  The Salvation Army Grand Falls Citadel Band will be in attendance.  There will be a Christmas carol sing-a-long with hot chocolate, fudge and cookies.

Need’s Convenience is sponsoring a food drive to help local churches with their annual Christmas Hamper Program.  Please come and join us in the “Lighting of the Town Christmas Tree”.

Senior’s Christmas Social (60 plus) will be held on Friday, December 5th, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Community Centre.  A hot roast beef dinner will be served. There will be entertainment and door prizes.  Hope to see you there!  Please confirm your attendance by calling the Town Office on or before Friday, November 28th, 2014. Please note that under 60 spouses must be accompanied by the 60 plus spouses. If you have not received your invitation please contact the Town Office at 539-2406. 

Saturday, December 6th, 2014 the following events will be held:

10:00 AM in the Community Centre – “Community Breakfast with Santa”  (sponsored by the Town of Badger). Children twelve and under will receive a loot bag, and a knitted item from the “Love Tree” (sponsored by the Women’s Ministries of the Badger Pentecostal Church).

7:00 PM     “Night Santa Claus Parade” beginning at the Town Centre parking lot and proceeding around Maple Street onto Buchan’s Highway to Sunset Drive to Main Street then to Church Road back to the community center.  After the parade there will be tea/coffee, and hot chocolate in the community center.  Last year’s parade was a wonderful success and we are hoping everyone will participate again this year.

Judging of the “Light Up for Christmas Contest” will take place on Monday December 22nd, from 6-7:30 PM.  Residents are asked to make sure your lights are turned on during this time. Prizes are:
